Welcome to Optimal Balance! Your nutrition and fitness education hub.

I am Nina, and I can help you live a healthy, strong and balanced life.

My mission is to help you eat nourishing food, and do the activities you love, while enjoying life.

My deepest desire is to educate you on a Healthy, and Fit lifestyle for many and many generations to come. 

My commitment to you is to keep it simple to the core. 

The resources and services I provide have one common goal - help you live a Balanced life.

Nina - founder of Optimal Balance, is an Educator, Master Pilates

Trainer, Fitness Coach, and a Clinical Nutritionist.

As a specialist in fitness and nutritional medicine, I translate health advice into practical application. I'm here to help you nourish your body from the inside out in simple and absolute awesome ways. You will then get comfortable with your body, enjoy your activities, love your meals, and improve your quality of life through better habits. 

Your body is a unique sculpture within its own strengths and limitations. My method is to build and offer strategic tools and techniques, to help you achieve a more balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. 

My aim is not only to work on your body - the outer shell but to influence you in making more mindful decisions when it comes to your health. I will help you see and feel the beautiful you, inside and out.

Once people start taking care of themselves, amazing things happen. In my experience, I've seen how small simple swaps, can improve health and lift spirits. Beautiful right?

My journey as a fitness coach started during my time in the finance industry. Whilst taking multiple roles in accounting and finance, I studied fitness and finally qualified.

In the evenings, I would head off to the gym to train and coach, after spending hours in my office, working out numbers and scenarios.

My eyes were tired, I had to wear reading glasses. My whole body ached from prolonged hours of sitting. Like Clark and Superman, I became Nadia and Nina!

Fulfillment wasn't present. I felt there was something out there bigger waiting for me. I had to find a solution. Instructing, telling people about what I learned and exercising was my happiness. 

I wanted to expand my knowledge about the human body and became obsessed with learning the real science behind effective diet and training. So I entered a graduate program in Nutritional Medicine.

Along with my schoolwork, I continued to work in finance. As well as developing fitness training programs that I instructed while working with athletes and individuals from a massive range of backgrounds and disciplines. I was determined to learn and pass on my knowledge and here I am pursuing my dreams to better this world, so I founded Optimal Balance.

I developed an intense passion for nutrition and fitness, so then I completed a training and assessment program to be able to teach at a tertiary level.

 

After graduating, I started teaching, while coaching, instructing group fitness classes, working with private practice clients, presenting healthy living seminars, creating meal plans & healthy recipes and writing for nutrition and scientific publications. 

Simplicity and Balance are at the core of my philosophy.

You don't need to spend hours preparing a nutritious meal, or be at the gym each day of the week to be fit or healthy. Just eating balanced meals, knowing when and what to have, and doing some activity that you enjoy, is all what it takes to lead to big positive changes over time.
